This year has flown by and with Christmas looming, Chandos House
is elegantly festive with Christmas cheer and decorations for all
to enjoy.
The sales team have been working full throttle and I would like to
thank everyone who has spared the time to speak with us about their
venue requirements. We are delighted to have been able to host so
many meetings and conferences this year and have been overwhelmed
with the number of media and financial companies who have been
raving about our venue.
It has been a fabulous year for us all, winning the Bronze Award
for the "Best Direct Marketing Campaign" award category for the
2011 Meeting Industry Marketing awards (MIMA) and being shortlisted
for the for "UK Venue of the Year" in the AEO Excellence Awards
2011.
We have lots of exciting events already in the diary for next
year, including our second Technology Masterclass on 17th January
2011 (find out more below).
Best wishes to everyone for the festive period.

Technology Masterclass
With over 100 attendees at the first
event and an astounding 100% of delegates saying they would
recommend or attend the One Wimpole Street Technology Masterclasses
in the future, don't miss out on the highly anticipated second
event in the series, which will take place on Tuesday 17th January
2011 from 7.45am - 9.45am.
Our next masterclass will be diving into the exciting yet often
confusing world of apps and social media. Simon Burgon - 360R who
presented at Event Magazine's Guide Live in August 2011, is a
seasoned digital technologist with over 20 years experience in app
development, software design and content creation covering multiple
media including photography, video & 3D visualisation.
Simon will showcase a number of apps specifically designed to
help businesses within the events and conference industry, as well
as demonstrating what you can do with these and how they can make
your business stand out. He will also discuss what you need to
consider if you are thinking about creating an app, as well as
looking at the future trends and innovations within this exciting
area of technology.
Ian McKendrick, keynote speaker, social networking strategist and
broadcaster on The Business Hub - a weekly business radio show
packed with great practical tips and advice, will be helping
delegates make sense of social media, including the opportunities
and threats that it poses, advice and tips on how to build a
community successfully as well as how to demonstrate value and gain
the right audience. Ian will also address the age old question, is
social media here to stay or is it all really just a fad?

2012 menus
Our 2012 menus are now complete and we hope that
you will be as pleased with them as we are. A lot of time has been
spent ensuring that we offer delegates a wide variety of menu
options that suit all types of events and all different
palates.
The hot buffet menus change every month to ensure regular clients
have the opportunity to try a good selection of our dishes. It also
allows us to use seasonal produce so that ingredients are at their
best. Sustainability is of upmost importance to our executive chef
Paul Kennison, who ensures all fish is sustainably sourced, all
eggs are free range and local produce is used wherever
possible.
Not only is the food outstanding but so is our service. Regardless
of the size of the meeting or event, we serve all of our guests
within a 10 minute timeframe by ensuring we have additional
catering stations and more staff on hand when necessary.
