Duke Room - Meeting Room London

Panoramic View

This is arguably the grandest room in the House, situated on the first floor facing south along Chandos Street to Cavendish Square and accessed from the landing at the top of the grand staircase through mahogany doors.

In the nineteenth century when Chandos House was the Austro-Hungarian Embassy, this room became the venue for extravagant and lavish parties hosted by Prince Esterhazy. The room has an original Adam fireplace and is highly decorated to the original colour schemes with two beautiful crystal glass chandeliers. It also houses an Antonio Zucchi painted ceiling, impressively decorative mirrors and various oil paintings.

As such, this room imparts a sense of occasion to any corporate or private event and especially to weddings.

This large event space can be used for:

  • Lunches and Dinners
  • Meetings
  • Conferences
  • Board meetings
  • Theatre style meetings
  • Cocktail parties
  • Wine tastings
  • Product launches

The Duke Room can be hired individually but is more popularly hired as a suite with the adjoining Duchess Room.
