…..so here's what Rachel said:

"Planning any event from scratch can be extremely daunting.  This is why at Chandos House we will help you at every stage and ensure your event runs smoothly from your initial enquiry to giving us valuable feedback at the end.

Most people think that location is the most important factor, but in reality, for a special event such as a summer party its actually the theme.   When you have decided and agreed on your theme all the other aspects of the event fall into place e.g. the menu choice, the date, the venue and the decorations.

You do need to make sure you plan ahead, as most like to have their party on either a Thursday or Friday.  Therefore you need to book early as there is only a limited number of these dates during the summer months.

This year we've been more creative with our chosen theme and we know you will love it!  We've gone Hawaiian with a fruity and grill themed BBQ, refreshingly mouth-watering cocktails and many on trend tropical inflatables.  This is also a relatively easy theme to ensure your guests arrived dressed up in their best florals, board shorts, and Hawaiian shirts!  Plus we've got some additional props to enhance the theme and complete your selfies at our selfie station.

As with all summer parties, outdoor space is a must, but don't forget as we are in our beloved central London location, we cannot guarantee the sunshine so you must make sure there is also indoor space available….weather permitting!

One thing a lot of people forget when planning an event is the entertainment.  As well as preparing your favourite playlist or booking live music, there should also be some activity….we've got that covered with our Giant Games.  In addition to our delicious food, theming and music you can play Giant Connect Four or Giant Jenga against your colleagues.  My all-time favourite type of entertainment is a really good magician they are the 'must have' accessory for any event, after the coconut cocktail bowl of course!

I hope this has given you some useful ideas and encouraged you to contact me now with your summer party enquiry: rachel.robinson@chandoshouse.co.uk or call 020 7290 3861
