The Duke room, the grandest in the house, is the culmination of the public parade and is the room used for the wedding ceremony. Seating up to 80 guests, the room offers you a romantic and intimate setting, perfect for exchanging vows.
Large front windows flood the room with natural light and illuminate the striking chandeliers and beautiful pastel shades on the walls.
In the nineteenth century when Chandos House was the Austro-Hungary Embassy, the Duke Room would have been at the centre of Prince Esterhazy's lavish parties. The Antonio Zucchi ceiling painting, restored following historic research and microscopic analysis, represents Diana and her Nymphs. The Duke room also contains a beautiful marble fireplace as well as Mewes and Davis gilded mirrors.
The Duke room can also be used for your wedding reception, in conjunction with the adjoining Duchess room for wedding breakfasts of up to 110 guests.
